Hey Y'all! I'm Sarah-teacher turned stay-at-home-mama. My SAHM journey is an ebb and flow of blogging on mommy life. I am an advocate for a family-friendly + tech-free home. I grew up in the 90's and am a believer in an old-fashioned childhood of dirt and play. Albert Einstein said, "play is the highest form of research" and I could not agree more. I started this blog journey in 2009 when I applied to graduate school. My Masters degree is in Early Childhood Education and I've taught two and three-year olds, first grade, third grade, and children of all abilities. The highlight of my teaching career was working in Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex, England. I love sharing our day-to-day activities over on my Instagram page. Jump on o myver to check out my parenting tips, kid's lifestyle, toys, and book reviews. All opinions are my own and I only share products that I love AND use. I am eager to help mamas find products and activities to help them in their daily grind.
My sweet little family includes my husband and our two littles. Mischief is five years old and eager to be a train engineer. Little Miss Rascal is two years old and a fiery little thing. They are my world.
My teaching philosophy has developed over time and I'm old school at its best. I believe as parents we help our children to become lifelong learners and confident citizens. Childhood only happens once and I intend to create a loving and happy environment for my children.
Throughout graduate school, the idea of a blog and a place to consolidate ideas and themes for parents kept poking at me. As I finished my thesis and began my transition from teacher to mommy-it only escalated.
I started this blog and began with two followers: my husband and my mom. Since its inception, I have formed relationships with moms both local and abroad. My knowledge base continues to grow and I am just getting started.
Thanks for following along!
